Yolanda Dawn Palmore, 56, of Cambridge, MD passed away suddenly on Tuesday
August 11, 2020. She was born August 30, 1963 to the late Eva M. Palmore and
Robert (Bobby) King.
Yolanda attended St. Luke AME church as a child and was affiliated with several
churches during her life. Yolanda was educated in the Dorchester County Public
School System and continued her education at Delaware Technical Community
Yolanda was employed by Chesapeake Center Inc., in Easton, MD as a supervisor,
B&G Foods as a QA Inspector and Black and Decker Corporation as a line leader.
Yolanda was a true leader and hard worker that always helped others. She was a
people person with a heart of gold who was truly loved by everyone.
Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents Eva M. Palmore and Robert King,
Shirley and Franklin Opher Sr. (who looked after her as their own), brothers Marcus
Montgomery Palmore and Ajamu King and sister Taboo King.
Yolanda leaves to cherish fond memories her children; Tykeia Palmore, Youlinka
(Michael) Kollock, Nishika Palmore, and Lamont Jones Jr. (all of Cambridge, MD),
grandchildren; Kemira Chester, Doniyah Cephas, DeWayne Jones Jr., Demarrion
Jones, Niyahana Jones and Cherish and Amontie Young, great grandchildren; Leilani
and Logan Wilson (all of Cambridge, MD) sisters; Carmen P. Carter (Montgomery, AL)
and Tasha King (Salisbury, MD), brothers; Robert King (Cambridge, MD), Anthony Ross
(Frisco,TX), Larry Opher (Seattle Washington), Frank Opher Jr. (Dynetta) (Salisbury,
MD), Charles Opher and Turhan Opher (Cambridge, MD), a life-long companion Cornell
Jenkins (Cambridge, MD), and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
