Marva Deloise Seymore affectionately known as "Dee Dee Bum" was born on December 13, 1939 to the late Howard and Ailene Seymore. Marva went home to be with our Almighty God on Tuesday, August 11 , 2020, at the age of 80.
Marva attended the public schools of Dorchester County and was a member of the Mace's Lane High School class of 1957. Marva worked various places to include Rob Roy and Icelandic USA, where she retired from. Marva was the mother of six beautiful children: Claudia, Berryl, Gale, Derrick, Craig and Brynson.
As a little girl Marva attended St. Luke United Methodist Church regularly with her parents and her siblings. She continued to attend St. Luke and raised her own children to attend and cultivate a personal relationship with Christ. She was a lifetime member of St. Luke.
Marva loved her family dearly. She always attended all the kids and grandkids birthday parties and school events. She enjoyed spending time with her family that visited from out of town. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, shopping, riding around, sitting outside and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved watching her favorite shows: Perry Mason, Murder She Wrote, Matlock, In the Heat of the Night and any Western. The electric slide was her favorite dance and she would be the first one on the dance floor when the song came on. She especially enjoyed the cruises she went on with her daughter, Claudia.
Marva was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ailene Seymore, a daughter Gale Benson, her sisters Novella, Nanzetta and Ethel and her one and only brother Tyrone.
Marva leaves to cherish fond memories her loving children: Claudia (Larry), North Carolina, Berryl, Cambridge, MD, Derrick (Lourdes) New Jersey, Craig (Bobbie) and Brynson (Benzina) of Cambridge, MD. Twelve grandchildren: LaKeyia, Tynisia (Raheem), Christy (Barnard), Tameka (Tyron), Danny (Myakiesha), Danielle, Demetrius (Gabrial) Shamar, Kevin, Raven, Bry'Neir and Bryana, Twenty-two Great Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Great Grandchildren, her last living sibling Charlotte Conyer Baltimore, MD, son in-law Richard Benson, two special nephews; Kellice Seymore and Craig "Spider" Milligan, special friends Ola Mae Todd, Jeanette Pritchett and Esther Benson and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
