Linwood Baines, III departed this life on December 9, 2021 at Tidal Health-Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. He was born on November 26, 1957 at Easton Memorial Hospital, and was the oldest child of Gloria Baines and the late Linwood Baines, Sr.
Linwood grew up in St. Michaels, Maryland, and attended St. Michaels Middle High School. At an early age, he attended Union United Methodist Church.
Linwood loved fishing, golfing and shopping. He would go shopping, stay in the store for hours, and still come out with nothing!! He worked at Bayleigh Chase for 35 years as a Sous Chef.
In addition to his Dad, Linwood was preceded in death by one brother, Irving Baines.
Linwood leaves to cherish his fond memories, a loving and devoted wife, Alfreda Wilson Baines of Hurlock, MD; two children, Trinette Baines Potter (Melvin) of Georgia and Johnny Baines of Chestertown, MD; two brothers, Harold Baines, Sr. and his wife Marla of St. Michaels, MD and Curtis Baines, Morgantown, West VA.; one sister, Bertha Baines-Nixon of Cambridge, MD; Mother-in-law Anna L. Wilson of Easton, MD; a special brother-in-law, David Washington, Jr., Easton, MD; two aunts, Margaret Baines-Webb of Virginia and Yvonne Barnett of St. Michaels, MD; grandchildren, Jahdeja Baines, Joshua Baines (who was raised like a son), Jamyia Baines, Melvin Potter, III, Mikel Potter, Malcolm Potter and Mason Potter; god-children, Riesha Dodd, Leonard Palmer, II and Nyseem Williams; a special young man he adopted as a son, Domonic Parker and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
