Lawrence Alexander Stanley Jr. known as “Bugs” and “Uncle Junior” or “Uncle Lawrence” departed this life June 7, 2020 at his home. He was born August 4, 1936 in Cordtown, Md to the late Lawrence and Hester Stanley.

Lawrence graduated from Mace’s Lane High School with the Class of 1955. After graduation he entered the United States Navy retiring after 21 years of service. He worked many years for Coldwater Seafood as a refrigerator mechanic. He also worked for Mail-Well Publishing Co. He was an avid sports fan especially basketball and football. He was a big Ravens fan.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister. Loretta Yuman and his former wife Olivia McCready Stanley.

Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory, a daughter, Robin Stanley Jones (Bernard) Fayetteville, Ga; Grandchildren, Natasha Libecomb (Joel) of Riverdail, Ga., Brandy Jones of Fayetteville, Ga and Benjamin Jones of Charleston, South Carolina; Three great grandchildren,  Joquin Lifecomb, Kinsley Jones and Nahmi Jones; brother, Rudolph Stanley of Salisbury, MD, a sister, Sarah Lee (George) of Cambridge, Md., a God daughter, Courtney Milligan of Bryan’s Road, Md; A god son Jakie Yuman of Hurlock, Md.; A special nephew, Leroy Yuman of Cambridge, Md; A host of special nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, Tanya Jackson, Karen Sampson, LaQuanda Yuman of Cambridge, Md. Deanna Milligan of Bryan’s Road, Md, Sheila Simmons, Charlene Stanley, Delwanda Diggs of Norfolk, Va. Trina Whitehead of   Jacksonville, Fl. Nephew Wilbur Sampson of Cordova, Md. Terri and Andre Stanley of San Antonio, Tx.; Two, great great nephews, Dayonte Sampson and Monte Sampson; One great great niece, Denee Sampson and a host of other relatives and friends.
