Obituary

Daniel Camper, Jr. was born September 5, 1934 in Money Make, Maryland to the late Daniel E. Sr. and Nannie Wilson. He died at home Thursday May 13, 2021.

 

Educated in the Talbot County School System. After graduating the enlisted in the U.S. Army and served 3 years. He married and moved to Nyack, NY, there employed by Orange and Rockland Utilities Tomkins Cove, New York. Daniel was a member of Scott’s United Methodist Church, Trappe, MD.

 

He was preceded in death by his late wife Bernice Marie Gibbs of Trappe. He is survived by his four children, Karen Martini Nyack, NY, Denise Duncan, Temple, Texas, Kevin Camper, Cambridge, MD, Timothy Camper, New York, one sister Celeste Dumas, Nyack, NY, three sister in laws:     Darlene Murray, Easton, MD, Ruth Gibbs, Ridgely, MD, Betty Wilson, Hurlock, MD, seven grandchildren: Aaron Camper, Brooklyn, NY Ashley Martini, Berganfield, NJ, Danny and Lisa Duncan, Temple, Texas, Robin Villalobas, Houston, Texas, Timothy Camper, Jr, Greensboro, NC,  Julian Campers, Florida, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Daniel was preceded in death by his son Daniel III, 3 sisters, Louise Hemsley, Eunice Keene and Lucille Dill and sister in law Dorothy McElveen, brothers in law, Carroll Hemsley, Benie Keene, Oscal Dill and Maydolphus Dumas.
