Veronica Marie Thompson

Veronica Marie Thompson, affectionately known as “Fusty” was born on May 4th,1976 in Cambridge, Maryland to Ida Mae Thompson and Ronald Street. She departed this life tragically on Sunday July 26th, 2026.

Veronica was educated in the Dorchester County public school system and graduated from North-Dorchester High School with the class of 1994. She went on to attend Vatterott College in Omaha, Nebraska where she earned a degree in pharmacology.

While residing on the Eastern Shore of Maryland she was employed at various jobs including Bloch & Guggenheimer (B & G Foods) of Hurlock, Maryland as a machine operator. After obtaining her pharmacology degree she was employed as a pharmacy technologist in Omaha, Nebraska.

Veronica leaves to cherish her memory, son, Lee Watson Thompson (Alexandra) of Omaha, Nebraska; adoptive mother whom she affectionately called mom, Agnes Marion of Baltimore, Maryland; maternal grand-mother, Laura Mae Jackson (Bernard) of Easton, Maryland; sister, Conswella Johnson of Baltimore, Maryland, brother, Durant Marion of Baltimore, Maryland, sister, Cheryl Singleton of Omaha, Nebraska, sister, Salena Thompson-Demby (James) of East New Market, Maryland; a special brother, Michael O. Bryan (Elsey) of Cambridge, Maryland; a special great-niece Kaleigh of Fort Worth, Texas; special nephew, Jordan Marion of Phoenix, Arizona; special friend, Michelle Bailey (Terrance) of Easton, Maryland; special friend, Crystal Banks of Hope Mills, North Carolina; and countless other loved ones.

Veronica was preceded in death by her father Ronald Street, sister, Mia Marion, niece, Morgan Talia Thompson, maternal aunt, Mildred Thompson, maternal aunt Joyce Thompson, maternal uncle Larry Thompson, maternal grand-father Thomas Thompson and other beloved family members.
