Shirley Rosetta Brooks was surrounded by her loving family on Monday December 3,2018 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. She heard the soft voice of Jesus calling her home. She answered as she quietly slipped away to her eternal rest.
Shirley was born on February 16, 1931 in Wye Mills, Maryland to the late Marion and Rosetta Sampson.
She was educated at Moton High School in Talbot County Public School System. She would have graduated but married at a young age to the late Elmer Alfred Brooks Sr. This union blessed her with six children.
Shirley was employed in various positions in Talbot county. She loved music, dancing, knitting blankets, stuff animals, playing card games, and spending time with her family which was precious to her. She loved traveling and travelled with her children frequently. She was of full of strength, love, life, tenacity, with a feisty personality. She had a sense of humor that brought us laughter. Her legacy will live forever.
