Phaedra Lynette Holliday was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 31, 1975 to the late Solomon Carroll and Pauline Carroll.\n \n\n\n\n During her early childhood years Phaedra was baptized and attended House of Prayer for All People in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She moved from Philadelphia at the age of 12 and was raised in Ridgely, Maryland thereafter. She started her education in Philadelphia and completed her education in Denton, Maryland at North Caroline High School.\n \n\n\n\n As an adult, Phaedra was employed in various line processing and sanitation services positions. She was outgoing, social and an all-around people’s person. She could strike up a conversation with anyone she met. Phaedra was outspoken and had a fiery spirit. She had a love of all things purple and listening to 90’s R&B. She loved talking to her children, nieces and nephews. Family was important to Phaedra and she never hesitated to tell those in her circle that she loved them.\n \n\n\n\n Phaedra was preceded in death by her parents Solomon and Pauline Carroll and her biological parents Walter and Sheila Simms; in addition to her parents she was also was preceded in death by by her three sisters LaQuisha Simms, Destiny Simms, and Dolly Forness and two brothers John Carroll and Solomon Carroll Jr.\n \n\n\n\n She leaves to mourn her passing, her children: Jhaquon Carroll, Malik Carroll and Shamia Holliday; her siblings: Andre Carroll (wife Toya), Melissa Carroll, Burnelle Carroll, Sophia Carroll, Thomas “Lee” Carroll (wife Michelle), George Carroll (wife Burnadette), Ronnie Carroll, Lewis Johnson (wife Sarah), Wayne Woodson, Brandon Woodson, Loretta Hinton, Valerie Carroll; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
