A Time to be Born…

Pearl Delvene Taylor Roberts was born on November 3, 1958 in Easton, MD to Lily Rideout and Roland Gross.

A Time to Die…

Pearl peacefully entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her home in Cambridge, MD, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lily Rideout, a brother, Eugene Gross and a sister, Janice Gross.

A Time to Get and a Time to Keep…

Pearl received her education from Colonel Richardson High School, Class of 1976.  Pearl had numerous jobs, but loved private sitting with her clients.  She was a member of Greater Mt. Olive Full Gospel Baptist Church for 20 years, where she became a born again Christian.  She served on the Usher Board, Pastor Support Ministry, Mass Choir and was the Sexton of the Church.

A Time to Love…

Pearl married her love, James Roberts Jr., on January 12, 2007 and nurtured their children together.

A Time to Embrace and a Time to Speak…

Pearl had an unfailing love for her children and especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.  Most of all Pearl was a kind-hearted person and a generous woman.  She loved to cook for her family and everyone was welcomed at her table.  She was known as the famous fry fish Queen.

A Time to Weep…

Pearl leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, James Roberts Jr.; three daughters, Brontia, Tenille and Elisha (all of Cambridge, MD); ten grandchildren, Wilson, Rayon, Princess, Kamirha, Takorie, Carlisha, Martinia, Dezmere, Elijah and Honor; twelve siblings, Darlene (Warren), Doreen, Doris (Roger), Marie, Margaret and Ann (all of Cambridge, MD), Roland (Seattle, Washington), Donald Gross (Philadelphia, PA), Delores (Denton, MD) and Randy (Federalsburg, MD); James and Ruby; a mother in-law, Shirley Roberts; brother in-law, Timothy Roberts (Linkwood, MD); four sisters in-law, Lavon (Brawer), Rosalyn (Brian), Patricia (Michael), Marcia (Dave); two godchildren, Marco Garcia and Antwane and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and special friends.
