Melvin Randolph Cooper – [Big Wheel] [“The Wheel”] - (84), from Cambridge, Maryland, died Monday, January, 16, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland.
Born in Church Creek, Maryland on November 30, 1932, to the late William Irving and Annie Cooper. Melvin completed the 10th grade. He worked at Dorchester County hospital, as an orderly for many years.
Melvin spent most of his time sitting on his porch socializing with friends and family. He would speak to everyone going pass his door, to offer a hello, wave, and a smile.
Preceded in death is his wife, Ethel Cooper – [Earl]; and a sister, Minnie Johnson.
Melvin is survived by his children: Raymond, Joyce, Randolph (Rampage), Frederick (Beedy) - (Wife Shirley), Milton (Bird), Tyrone (Tiny) – (Wife True), Tymel (Tonnie), Brenda. Surviving brothers and sisters are: Marie Cooper, Harold Cooper, Mildred Johnson- (Husband, the late James Johnson), Lillian Perry – (Husband, Richard Carvell Perry Sr.), Otis Cooper – (Lois Vanderhost); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
