John Major Junior, 80 years old and Son of the Late John Senior and Lola Major departed this life on June 2, 2020. John known as Johnny was born August 23, 1939 in Cambridge, MD. He attended the Dorchester County Public School System. He was always known as a people person. All his siblings kept him occupied growing up. When he wanted to get away, he would climb up in trees and stay there for hours at a time. He got along with everyone.
Johnny began working at an early age in life. He moved to Norwalk, CT where he worked Forging Metal for many years. He held several Maintenance Engineering positions. In the late 60’s Johnny met Ann Latimer and from this relationship, they raised Darrell and Lorraine.
He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He would tell you a joke and have you laughing for days that is how he spread his love and kindness towards others. One of his favorite hobbies was to go fishing. He always loved spending time with his family and friends.
Johnny was preceded in death by Ex-wife Kate (sisters: Marie known as Reese Cornish, Eva M’cCloud, Ella Mae Brown, Nettie Keene, and brothers: Linwood and Rayfield Major).
John leaves to cherish his loving and pleasant memories a great marvelous daughter Julain Lorraine Latimer-Shepard son in law (husband) William Shepard grandchildren Ajaee, Maya, and Saadiq son Darrell Curtis Latimer grandchildren Darron, Imani, Quentin, Christian, and Christopher, Darrell Jr. and great grandchild Jamir. Seven sisters Rosalie Clark, Md, Lucille Warrington (John)Md, Estelle Laws Md, Geraldine Flamer De, Eunice Hubbert Md, Saura Lake (Beverley) Md, Cynthia Jennings Fl, Uncle Rowland Mapp, Va known as “Roy” (Arvilla) and abundance of nieces, nephews, and host of cousins and friends.
