Florence Brice Cooper, 90 was born on September 23, 1930 in Easton, MD, peacefully passed away on August 21, 2021 at University of Maryland Regional Health in Easton, Maryland. She was the youngest of 11 children, the daughter of the late Maggie Lillie Sampson-Brice and Carroll lssac Brice. She grew up in Easton, Maryland.
Florence attended Moton High School in Easton, MD. She was the only child of the family to attend college at Princess Anne State College. She left college to marry the love of her life Carlton Cooper on April 22, 1951. Of this union was born six healthy boys: Gary Cooper, Jerome Cooper, Kevin Cooper, Floyd Cooper all of whom are deceased. She is survived by two sons Carroll Cooper (Tina) Wittman, MD and Harvey (“Benny”) Cooper (Lanelle) Florida.
Florence worked along side of her husband when they opened Carl’s Outboard Sales and Service in Easton, MD in 1968 and operated for 14 years as Head Administrator. Florence loved to cook and travel. Two of her favorite places to travel were to Hawaii and Mexico. She also had a love for Jade Jewelry and she always looked forward to the wonderful pieces of jewelry that her dear husband gifted her after reach trip they traveled to. She was so excited to meet her youngest great grandchild (Sevyn) whom she was overjoyed to know that she looked like her.
In addition to her two sons Carroll and Beny, Florence is survived by Granddaughters: Vernette Palmer (Jon) Wittman, MD, Janelle Craig, Baltimore, MD, Candance Cooper, Virginia Beach, VA, Latoya Cooper, Easton, MD, Jessica Barnes, Salisbury, MD, Grandsons: Michael Cooper, Easton, MD, David Greene, Frederick, MD and James Broom, Easton, MD, Fourteen great-grandchildren along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Waiting to greet her besides her parents and 4 handsome sons, are her 11 siblings: Dennis Brice, Rachel Brice, Joseph Brice, Mary Lane, Margaret Durham, Rosalee Lee, Melvin Brice, Dorothy Jackson, Almita Potter, Arlena Ayers and Gertie Brice.
