Celebration of Life for
Edward Parker, Jr.
April 20, 1965 to December 27,2025
Edward Parker, Jr. (Junior) was born on April 20, 1965 to the late Verna Mae Moore. On December 27, 2025, God took him from his lifeless body home, to live in glory with no pain and mentally free.
You must understand that Junior was not perfect, far from it, but he was a simple humble man. The death of our mother left him suffering with depression and anxiety that he could not overcome.
Around 2017 or 2018, (while working in Philadelphia) he suffered a severe head injury that slowly progressed to dementia. In October of 2018, this condition caused him to have to return to Baltimore in the care of his family.
It was hard seeing our brother, who thrived in life, become a shell of life. He was the life of our family get togethers. Always a jokester- who reminded us a lot of Martin. Declining speech prohibited him from joking and singing in the later part of his life. But when he heard music, he reacted with bouncing and a huge smile on his face.
He spent the remaining days of his life at The Pines Nursing and Rehab in Easton, MD. He was a handful at times, but the staff kept him calm while playing music, and of course singing and dancing with the occasional outburst from him. What a smile, it took over his whole body.
Edward Parker, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother Verna Mae Moore, sister Marlowe Sherman, and nephew Larry Ferguson.
He leaves to cherish his brothers Bobby Moore and Ronald Moore of Wittman, MD; sisters Sandra Moore-Cooper of Wittman, MD and Valerie Ferguson (Melvin) of Baltimore, MD; uncles Jonah Rodgers and Napoleon Rodgers of Williamston, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
