Edward Major, Jr. of Cambridge was called home on Friday October 23, 2020 after a long illness. Edward (Eddie)(Pop) was born October 11, 1938 in Rock hall, Virginia. He was the son of the late Edward Major, Sr. and the late Gertrude (Holden-Major) Williams. Edward went to Fredrick Douglas School in Seaford, Delaware.\n \n\n He enjoyed hunting, fishing, church and gospel music. Eddie drove truck for Adho, he was a waterman, he worked at Chun King and he was a supervisor at Kool Ice for 46 years.\n \n\n He was a family man and provider. He is survived by four children: Montoya Major, Dynell Thompson (Teresa) of Cambridge, Maryland, Theresa (Major) Jones of Florida, (Johnny), Ozell Major of Texas, 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grands, one brother Wilmore Frank Holden (Gloria) of GA, two special friends: Shirley Greene and June Bug and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.\n \n\n In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Josie Mae Major, three brothers: Samuel Spruils, Reggie Major, Sylvester Major; five sisters: Gladys Johnson, Aretta Pinkett, Annette Major Taylor, Dollene Major Brown, Nancy Major Travers, and one daughter Lee Ennals.
