On Thursday, September 14, 2017, God called home a woman of strength, faith, resilience, and determination. She passed at USMC at Dorchester. Desirae Nicole Dixon- King “D.R.” was born in Plainfield, NJ on July 3, 1981, to Sharon King and the late John Dixon Jr.
Desirae attended Cambridge South Dorchester High School in Cambridge, MD. After finishing School Desirae became a specialist in Food Service Management where she spent years providing nothing less than outstanding customer service. Desirae’s children, her family, and her friends were her passion. She was passionate about loving them, making sure that they felt loved, and making sure that they were happy. Desirae was selfless, amazingly independent, and would do anything within her power to help anyone. She was a mother of three children. Desirae instilled in her children the importance of the power of prayer, knowledge, and independence. She would go to great lengths to make sure that her children were well taken care of. Her children will say that she is their hero, and she would say that they were hers. Desirae enjoyed reading, listening to music, and doing crafts.
