Demetrius Sylvester Jenkins, 50 years old from Cambridge, MD departed this life on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at Laurel Medical Center in Laurel, MD.
He was born on April 15th, 1971 in Easton, MD to Annie Rose Johnson-Jenkins and George Jenkins. Demetrius was a kind and humble spirited man. He always had a smile and a twinkle in his eye that made his face just light up. Whenever we talked with him, he always ended the conversation with "I Love You". He studied hard to get his GED and worked just as hard on any job he had. He worked as a traveling construction worker at a young age, traveling to various construction sites to get the job done. He also worked as a supervisor at Hanover in Ridgley, MD, as a lineworker at Aphena & Seawatch in Easton, MD and as a stock person at Walmart in Easton, MD.
He enjoyed singing and one of his favorite songs was "Little Boy, How Old Are You". He enjoyed fishing and being outside at every opportunity he got. He loved to spend time with family and loved to eat, especially fried chicken.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Jenkins, his brother Sylvester Washington, his sister Alfreda Johnson, his sister Debra Jenkins, his niece Tiffany Crumble and a host of other family members.
He is survived by his mother Annie Rose Johnson-Jenkins of Ridgley, MD, 2 sisters, Jennifer E. Johnson-Crumble of Federalsburg, MD and Marilyn Johnson of Easton, MD and one brother, Thomas Jenkins of Easton, MD, 6 nephews, 6 nieces, 6 great nephews, 5 great nieces, 2 great-great nephews, 2 great-great nieces, 2 Aunts and a host of cousins and friends.
