Danita Speller Obituary (1973 - 2016)

Danita Yvonne Speller, 42, affectionately known to many as “Nita”, returned to her heavenly home on April 5, 2016. Danita was born November 3, 1973. She was the daughter of Sandra and Charles Hawkins III of Easton. She received her education from the Queen Annes County Public School system. Nita worked at Corsica Hills Nursing Home in Centreville as a caregiver. She also worked at Gunstons Girls and Boys school as a dietary aide. She also worked at the Best Western in Grasonville. Upon moving to Delaware, she began working for the Holiday Express in Harrington where she often received the award of “Employee of the Month.” Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and her untimely death. Danita enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the holidays, shopping, going on trips, and cooking. She also enjoyed taking care of her dog “Money” and her grandcats. Danita was preceded in death by her great grandparents Howard and Elizabeth Greene, her Aunt Lisa Burns, and her father-in-law, Joe Newton. In addition to her parents, Nita leaves to cherish her fond memories a husband of 23 years, Larry Speller; 2 daughters: Brianna Speller and Latoya Speller; 3 sons: Demetrik, Darieus, and Robert Sudler; 10 grandchildren: Zhaira, Zariah, Kali, Diamond, Le’Ayra, Serenity, Iscis, Le'Ondre, Raymond, and Jayden; her loving grandmother, Mary Robinson; mothers-in-laws: Nancy and Teresa Newton; several nieces, nephews, and in-laws: Monsieur Speller (Natasha Speller), Paul Newton (Cecily Newton), Brenda Watkins, Delvia Acoff, Kevin Newton, Michael Clark, William Clark, Jr., Mitchell Clark, Carl Newton, David Newton, Denise Henderson (Tom Duely); and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
