Calvin Molock, Sr. of Cambridge, MD departed this life Friday, September 13, 2019 at his home, in Cambridge. He was 83 years old. Born September 20, 1935 at Liners Rd. in Church Creek, MD., he was the son of the late Alvin Molock, Sr. and Rosie Molock. Calvin married Helen Watford and from this union he was father to Pastor Mary Ennals, Calvin Molock, Jr., James Molock, Thomas Molock, Tyrone Molock, Jacqueline Molock Nuton and Ronnie Molock all of Cambridge.
He was educated at Liners Road School; one of the many one room schools for “colored children” in Dorchester County at the time.
Calvin learned the value of hard work and its’ importance at an early age and through his determination and desire to work, he provided a home for his family and took care of his children. Employment included: Charles Brohawn Construction of Cambridge and Willow Construction of Easton.
Calvin was affiliated, at a young age, with John Wesley U.M. Church in Church Creek, MD. He was a quiet man, but he grew up during an era when his parents and the community knew, lived and practiced their faith daily. The 23rd Psalm was a scripture, we believe, guided him through life and provided strength during his transition.
Calvin leaves to cherish his loving memories, his daughter, Pastor Mary Ennals; his sons Calvin Molock, Jr., Tyrone Molock, Sr. (Melissa), and Ronnie Molock (Martha) all of Cambridge; 3 grandchildren: Tyrone Molock, Jr. (Talisha), of Salisbury; Lakesha Beasley of Cambridge; Cynthia Mitchell of Suitland, MD; 3 great grandchildren: KaMarii Stanley and Zion Molock of Cambridge, Tawanda Boyd of Suitland; 1 great great-grandchild: Camryn Boyd of Suitland, a son-in-law, Curtis Nuton and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his mother, Rosie Molock and father Alvin Molock, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Molock (2010), son Thomas Sylvester Molock (2017), a daughter, Jacqueline Molock- Nuton (2018), a son James Molock (2018), a granddaughter Juwana Molock (2018) and a son-in-law, William Ennals (2016); 2 sisters Monenia Johnson and Dorrine Taylor; and 1 brother, Fleming Molock.
Treat your parents with loving care…for you will only know their value, when you see their empty chair.
