Brittany was born to parents Rita White-Sconion and J. Anthony Dickerson in Salisbury, Maryland. She was affectionately known as “Britt Britt” to her family and friends. Brittany graduated from James M. Bennett Senior High School in 2007.
Brittany pursued Post-Secondary Education by matriculating at Salisbury University from which she graduated in 2012 earning a BA Degree in Psychology. Brittany used her education, training and skills as the Vice-President of The Wesley Foundation. She also worked as a Counselor at the Fruitland Community Center through AmeriCorps. Brittany became a Christian and attended Friendship United Methodist Church with her family. While at Friendship, she was actively involved in the life of the church as a part of the Dance Ministry (Inspirational Praise) and Divine Inspirations Choir. Later, she made a powerful decision to join her father at Greater Mount Olive Full Gospel Baptist Church. She continued her commitment in the service of the Lord at Greater Mount Olive as the Praise and Worship leader, Youth leader, YSU Step Team member and a member of the finance committee.
Brittany walked and lived a life of purity exemplifying a loving, kind and joyful spirit. We saw the light of the Lord shining through the beautiful smile on her face. Even in her battle against sickness and pain she maintained the integrity and solidarity of her love for and faith in her Father God. When asked how she was doing, her frequent response was “Super Great”. She never ceased to praise and bless God. Though we would believe she is gone too soon, Brittany enjoyed her life. She found pleasure in going to Ocean City, getting Fisher’s popcorn, singing and dancing. She enjoyed warm, loving relationships with many people.
