Avon Arthur Whyte, affectionately known as "Toots", the son of Selestine Whyte and Robert Lee Robinson went home to Glory to sing in the Heavenly choir on April 16, 2018.
Avon started his journey in life December 1, 1969. His education started at Centreville Elementary, Centreville Middle, graduating Queen Anne's County High School 1987.
To many he was known as Avon, Toots, Whispers, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Family or Friend. To all he was known as a child of God. Avon was called out and chosen from birth. At an early age his testimony began when doctors said he was not going to make it pass the age of 5. His life was certainly a testament that the power of prayer has and always will work. At an early age he started his spiritual journey at Bethel A.M.E. Church Centreville, MD into adulthood he became a member of Faith Unity Fellowship where he accepted his ministerial call and started his education through Faith Unity Theology School. Although he did not complete his ministerial education his walk on Earth was a ministry to everyone he encountered.
Whispers as he was affectionately known to his friends, left a lasting impression on each and every one he was in the presence of. From his infectious smile, his mannerism to his selfless heart. If you needed it he had it to give any means necessary. Toots/Tootser loved his family. There was nothing he would not do for his family. There was nothing he would not do for his family. Even through his physical pains and illness his spirit would always comfort other. He had a nickname for everyone. He would always make the darkest days brighter, with a crazy saying "Roger dat, 69351", "What you say about my Momma" "I'm going West Philly"!! He could not dance a bit but he was make-up a dance out of nowhere. And probably a rap to go along with it. Toots was a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan. Toots inherited his singing "gift" that he shared with his community singing in the youth choir at Bethel A.M.E., The male chorus, school and community talent shows, local R & B group Clearview.
