Aljanette Perry Obituary (1929 - 2018)

Aljanette Butler Perry, 88, of Vienna peacefully departed this earthly life and transitioned to eternal life on June 23, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. She was the eldest child of the late William Manuel and Emma Beatrice Pinkett Butler. Aljanette, affectionately known as “Janette” was born October 2, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Janette graduated from FD Sinclair High School in 1947. She was employed by several local manufacturing companies including Campbell Soup, Coldwater Seafood, B & G, Black & Decker and DeCecco Tomato Canning Factory. As a young girl, she received her Christian training at Wesley United Methodist Church in Vienna. Later she worshipped and attended Athol Apostolic Church in Mardela Springs. From there, she worshipped at Family Worship Center in Salisbury where she taught Sunday School under the pastorate of Bishop Jesse E.C. Abbott. After several years, she returned to Wesley UM Church in Vienna as a member. At Wesley, she sang on the choir and served as a Communion Stewart. Janette leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Romonia Butler of Lewiston, North Carolina, Vernita Butler Perry of Delmar, Delaware, and Ginneene (Butler-Perry) Williams of Vienna; one aunt Elizabeth Chase; 4 grandchildren: Wallace (Kim) Butler of Vienna, MD, Robert Butler of Vienna, Dinita (Butler) Pinkett of Delmar, DE, and Dondre Williams of Cambridge; 9 great grandchildren: Ty’Keta Butler of Rhodesdale, Michon’ Tillery and Monae Butler Vienna, Takira and Tachina Bulter, Jabraye Walker, Takaiia, Keyanda and Jalyn Williams all of Salisbury, Dondre Williams, Jr, and Gianni Williams of Maine, and Keyana Gaines of Delmar, DE; 2 brothers: William Butler, Jr of Vienna, and Wilbur (Brenda) Butler, Sr of Salisbury; one sister Arenda Butler of Vienna; 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law Kay Camper of Cambridge, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Sherwood Perry, a son Donald Butler, a daughter Vattisee Butler West, and two grandsons Anthony Butler and Charles Williams.
