Alice Pearl Williams peacefully departed this life and transitioned to eternal life on June 27, 2018 at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina.\n \n\n Alice was born on April 11, 1949 to the late Thomas and Gilda Watkins. After receiving her education in the Somerset County Public School System, Alice decided to pursue her music career. She traveled all over the country with the well known Singer and Song-Writer James Brown as one of his Back-Up Singers. Even though she enjoyed traveling and singing, Alice decided she had a different road to go when she decided embrace the joys of motherhood.\n \n\n “Pearl” as she was also known as enjoyed spending time with her family, singing in the church choir at Robinson’s and loved her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. She had a million dollar smile and could sing away the clouds on any rainy day.\n \n\n Alice was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Gilda Watkins, Grandmother Myrtle White, Daughter Rebecca Williams, and Grandson Sean Lee Deaton.\n \n\n She Leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughters, Sharon Churchill, Monique & Pamela Crocket; three grandchildren, Myesha Reives, Markel Thomas & Antwan Churchill (Cherea); great grandchildren, Kayla, Mya, Levi, Nicholas, Kayla,, Nathan, Lacy, Na’Vayah, Ka’Ron, India, Cameron, Kaliyah, Ravon; one great great granddaughter Maliyah Gaskins.\n \n\n Alice also leaves special friends to cherish her memories, Roxanne Crouch, Peaches & Anna McFarland and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
