Our beloved, Robert Darnell Jenkins, 59 departed this life suddenly on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the University Shore Medical Center, Easton. He was born in Easton on October 18, 1959 to the Late Robert and Pauline Jenkins. He received his education in Talbot County public schools.
Darnell was raised in church and was a member of Union Baptist. He was a good-hearted person who loved his family and close friends. He enjoyed watching movies, westerns, cleaning, drawing, attending family functions and riding his bike all over town. His favorite hobby was cutting hair as he was known as the neighborhood barber.
Darnell leaves to cherish his memories one son, Darnell Demetrious Jenkins of Cambridge; one granddaughter, Amani Jenkins; one brother, Adrian (Vera) Jenkins, Trappe; four sisters: Shannon Jenkins of Severn, Marie Murray, Lisa and Teresa Johnson all of Cambridge; five nieces: Jenelle Jenkins of Easton, Keisha Roberts of Trappe, Shayla and Sierra Jenkins both of Severn, and Crystal Miller of Owings Mills; 2 nephews: La’Ron Miller of Stevensville and TyRell Ryans of Cambridge; 9 great nephews: Tajahae’ Wilson, Ja’Ayr Jenkins, NaSean Miller, Nasir Miller all of Easton, Josiah Miller of Stevensville, Keijon Roberts of Trappe, Zyhiem TaBryan and Kyle Ryans, all of Cambridge; 2 great nieces: Shamera Ryans of Cambridge and Skylar Potter of Severn; 2 great-great nieces: Natalya and Paris Wilson of Easton; many aunts and uncles: Ellice Roberts, Sharon (Rodney) Truxon, Russell (Dorothy) Jenkins, James (Nancy) Jenkins, and Ruth Jenkins, all of Easton, Nadia Caldwell of Denton, Emily Purnell and Kay Whitfield of Springdale, MD, Robert Purnel of Philadelphia and Olden Purnell, Jr., Orlando, and a host of cousins and numersous friends. He also leaves to cherish precious memories a special and devoted companion, Maureen Huggard, 3first cousins with whom he shared a close and special bond: Keith Jenkins, Terrance Bell and Terraine Bell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Robert and Pauline’s first born Vanessa, and his beloved sister Nadia “Missy” Miller; a nephew Travis Miller; maternal grandparents, Olden and Arnita Purnell; paternal grandparents, Russell Sr. and Blanche Jenkins, an aunt, Bonita Bell; and four uncles: William and Jonathan Jenkins, Edward Roberts and James Caldwell.
