Maurice Deshane Turner (Kenji) departed this life at home on March 27, 2018. Maurice was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Naomi Turner and Ronald Jackson.
Maurice received his education through the Talbot County Public School system. He was Baptized and added to the church in 2012 at Easton Christ of Christ. Maurice was a husband, father, caring son and most of all a protector to his brothers. Due to his love for music and his outgoing personality he was also known as the “life of the party” and more importantly he loved to DJ. Maurice was a family man who helped and would always give his words of wisdom and advice anytime it was necessary. Maurice had and made numerous friends throughout his years. He was also a man that was full of love and he was known to express his love with that unique smile that lit up the room.
Maurice is survived by his son Adrean Miller (Catherine); 2 daughters: LaKenjra Turner and Mya Turner; 2 step sons: Cleveland Faulk and Angelo Faulk; 4 brothers: Floyd “C-Man” Turner, Amir Turner Sr.(Brenda), Anwar Turner Sr. (LaKita), and Ronald Jackson Jr.; one sister Khalilah Jackson; 3 aunts: Jean Favors, Valerie Barnett, and Ruth Turner; 7 granddaughters: Iesha (A.J), Shanice, Janesha, JaNiah, A’Naejah, A’Nylah, MaLani; 3 grandsons: Travon, Raheem, and Naseem; 3 nephews: Anwar Jr., Lawar, and Amir Jr.; 4 nieces: Taleisha, KaDesha, Imani, and Zianna; one great grandson Aiyden; a great nephew Taj Jr.; a great niece Aria, and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Maurice Deshane Turner Jr. (Boo-Boo); 8 uncles: Maurice C. Turner, Floyd C. Turner, Marvin A. Turner, Jerry Turner, James B. Turner, David Turner, Nathaniel Turner and Allen Barrett Sr., and 2 aunts: Phyllis Suggs and Violet Thomas.
