Lillian Josephine Huff departed this life on Tuesday November 27, 2018 at John’s Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. She was 63.
Lillian was born on December 3, 1954 at Easton Memorial Hospital to the Late Melvin Ernest Blake, Sr and Doris Lucille Blake-Brooks. Lillian was educated at both, Queen Anne’s County and Talbot County Public Schools. She graduated with Easton High School’s Class of 1972. After completing High School, Lillian began working for Yale Underwear in Easton, MD, where she worked several years until the company relocated. She then began working for Allen Family Foods in Cordova, MD and William Hill Manor in Easton, MD until her health declined.
Along with spending time with her family, Lillian enjoyed reading, listening to music, playing cards, and going to Bingo. She enjoyed quality time spent with her special friends, Sisters Jean and Evelyn Miller and sisters, Debbie, Judy, Sheila, Joyce, and Shonta Banks.
She was a faithful member of Bethel AME Church of Easton, MD for many years and also recently joined In His Image Christian Ministries of Clinton, MD.
In addition to her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by a close friend, Sherry Ann Pritchett.
Lillian leaves beautiful memories to be cherished by her loving husband and life partner of more than 37 years, Clarence Huff, her daughter, Ajena Beulah, Grand-Children, Kwaya Trippe and Kwamane Dudley and Great Grandchildren, Zahra Dudley, Kwamane Dudley Jr, and Jizzia Dudley. She also leaves behind children from her union, Stepdaughter, Yolanda Tate and Stepson, Bobby Tate and Grandchildren Daquan, Bobby Jr, Nile, Valdez, Keith, Aaron, Lamont, Skylander, and Octavia. One of Doris’s “Ten Indians”, Lillian is survived by nine siblings (and their spouses), Anna Wilson (Clarence), Ruth Wangus, Melvin Blake Jr (Cheryl), Marlene Blake, Holton “Bobby” Blake, Leonard “Lenny” Brooks (Sherell), Aretter Cunningham, Bradford Brooks (Janice), Bronta Bell (Terrance); Siblings from her union, Willie, Maybelle, Chunk. Eleven nieces, Alfreda (Linwood), Dinez, Devera (Ricky), Regan, Ebonie, Sheonna, Shelea, Robin, Tristien, Brittany, and Tynisha; Seven nephews, David Jr, Markell, Rishawn, Lamar (Arlisha), Bradford Jr, Tyvane, and Robert. Lovingly known as “Aunt Lil” by many, she leaves to mourn 12 great-nieces, 16 great-nephews, a great-great-nephew, and an additional 13 nieces, 11 nephews, 19 great-nieces, 23 great-nephews, 24 great-great nieces and 24 great-great nephews from her union. She is also leaving behind an uncle, Perry Kennedy (Pearl); 4 aunts, Joyce Bowser (Bobby), Marlene Hollis, Faith Kennedy, and Genevieve Kennedy. She will be sorely missed by a host of close family and friends.
