Jacqueline Yvonne McCready, affectionately known as Jackie, departed this life on October 10, 2018. She was born July 31, 1963 to the late Sharkey W. McCready and Hazel Walter McCready in Cambridge, Maryland.
Jackie received her education in the Dorchester County Public School system. She worked various jobs, but her passion was in the medical profession. She loved helping and taking care of people. Jackie did this until God called her home. Jackie loved to cook because she loved to eat. She loved children, especially her grandchildren. They were the apple of her eye. She also loved people but enjoyed her “me” time as well. Jackie enjoyed watching TV and having long phone conversations. Jackie had a heart of gold for those who knew her. Sometimes her words were tough because she shot straight from the hip. She will be missed by many.
In addition to her mother, Jackie leaves to cherish her memory with one son, Tabari A. McCready of Cambridge; 3 sisters: Pandora C. Walters, Charlene C. McCready of Salisbury, and Teresa N. Walters of Cambridge; 3 grandchildren: Yasmin Tull, Kyle McCready of Salisbury, and Harlem McCready of Easton; 4 others she loved as her own: Taniah Mitchell, Jamyla Nichols, Keyanna Brown and Darrien Brown all of Salisbury: 2 special cousins who were like brother and sister: George (Bucky), and Elva Rogers Dundalk; 2 aunts: Jessie Reid and Joyce Walters Fisher of Salisbury; 3 uncles: Francis Rogers Cambridge, Larry and Burleigh (Jan) Walters of Exmore, VA; a special friend Lorenzo (Renny) Jones of Hurlock; 3 long time special friends: Joyce, Lisa, and Angela Jones of Cambridge.
