But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint…
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Frances Irene Mills known to many as “Aunt (Ant) Frances” or “Mom Mom Frances” born on July 27th 1939 to the late Paul L. and Mary F. Washington; transitioned from labor to reward on November 29th 2017 at Genesis Elder Care in Easton, MD. Frances received Christ at an early age and was a member of Robinsons AME church. She served as a faithful member until her health no longer allowed. She loved the Lord and maintained a strong faith even when she was overcome with illnesses. She enjoyed “holy ghost” filled church services with upbeat music.
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Frances was educated in Queen Anne’s County Public Schools and spent most of her career working in the seafood industry as well as a domestic worker. When she was no longer able to work in her regular occupation she found joy in feeding the neighborhood. She would cook meals for family and close friends regularly and would have her kids or grandchildren deliver them. She was given the nickname “Bea Gaddy” by her son Vic who was assigned to do most of the delivering. She loved watching westerns in her spare time and sitting back on the telephone cutting up with her nephew Brooks. She also spent a lot of time with her neighbor who was like a daughter Joyce Bethel-Thomas, but one of her greatest joys was helping to raise her adopted grandson Christopher Dunn.
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins
Through the years she has drew close to an abundance of people whom were dear to her and in which she was referred to as “Aunt (Ant) Frances” or “Mom Mom Frances” by many. She adopted as her extended family. A Sister Shirley Wright, Grandkids; Christopher, Aleisha, Tia, Trice, and Seddy. The Brown’s: Jackie, Jimmy, Charlie Buck, Vivian, and Mickey.
