Mable Louise Nicholson was born December 28, 1931 to the late Joe & Hattie Dorsey at Church Creek, Md. Mable went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Mallard Bay Nursing Home in Cambridge, Maryland Mable received her education in Dorchester County Pine Street low school and Frederick Douglas St. Clair High School. Mable was married to Mr. Charles Nicholson of Ellerbe, North Carolina May 10, 1948.
Mable worked for Phillips Packing Co. and Trappe Frozen Foods for 18 years as weight checker and a time keeper. At Ames Department Store was the Manager of the Jewelry Dept. until her back operation. Her last employment was doing Home Health Care.
Mable was a member of the National Church of God under the Leadership of elder Jeremiah Cox. She has held many jobs over the years; Sunday school teacher, president of the Redeemed Gospel singers, president of the Usher board, manager of the kitchen when dinner was held and also read all the church announcements she worked until her health begin to fail. Mable was a kind and loving wife and mother she loved her church family and friends.
Mable was preceded in death by a son, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Mable leaves to cherish her memories her husband Charles Nicholson. One sister Mildred Dorsey. 3 God daughters Marseeda Reed, Gaile Woolford and Shirley Simmons. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special friends Patsy & Frank Collins, Leon Askins.
