Emma Lucretia Nixon, 83, better known as Baby Girl died on Monday, July 10, 2017 at University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton. She was born April 13, 1934 to the late Gilbert Malachi Nixon, Sr., and Julia Murray Nixon.

She completed her education in the public school of Talbot County. She worked in different seafood industries prior to working as a press operator of Maryland Plastic of Federalsburg. Emma retired in 2004 after 32 years of service. She was a member of Waters United Methodist Church of Oxford. Her two favorite songs were “Time has made a Change”, and “Don’t Put off Today for Tomorrow.” Emma enjoyed life and family. She took pride in giving her yearly Eater Egg hunts. 

Emma leaves to cherish fond memories, her siblings: Roland (Deborah) Nixon of Trappe and Ellen Ryans of Denton; 2 grandchildren: Toni and Melissa Young of Pleasantville, New Jersey; 2 special friends: Maurice Dean and Margaret Matthews, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her son, David; 2 sisters: Julia and Gladys; 5 brothers: William, Neremiah, Gilbert, Jr., Williard, and Charles.
