Elwood Eugene Jones Jr., 36, departed this life on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Dorchester, Cambridge, Maryland.
Elwood better known as “Little Woody” was born September 9, 1980 at Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, MD; to the parents of Elwood and Linda Jones. Little Woody was educated in the Dorchester County Public Schools, graduating from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in June 1999. He was employed at numerous jobs, his last place of employment was the B&G Company in Hurlock where he worked as a forklift driver. Woody’s hobbies included shooting pool and watching football; his favorite team is known as the America’s team (the Dallas Cowboys). Little Woody was loved by everyone that knew him be he had a special bond with his sisters and he loved playing the role of big brother. Little Woody was known for his generosity and eagerness to lend a helping hand.
Little Woody was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Elwood Molock and William Potter, Great Grandparents Arthur and Dorothy Jones, and Uncle Frederick Jones.
Besides his parents he leaves to cherish loving memories two children, daughter E’mya Jameia Barrow (Cambridge, MD) and son Elwood Judis Jones Jr (Florida); Two sisters Taneeka Cornish and Keyanda Jones both of Cambridge. Grandmothers Ethel Cornish (Cambridge) and Judy Rhock (Baltimore); Aunts, Brenda (Russell) Pritchett, Darlene Cornish, Erica Cornish, and Sonya (Felix) Osorio all of Cambridge, Jacqueline Jones (Baltimore), Rose (Gordon) Neal (Aberdeen), Valerie Potter, Rowena Potter, and Yolanda Camocho all of Easton, Lynn (Kevin) Blake (Louisiana); Uncle, Joseph (Vivian) Cornish (California). Kevin Jones (Cambridge) Robert (Pearl) Cornish (Balitmore), Warren (Chinta) Cornish, and Herbert Potter all of Salisbury, Hilary (Marlene) Rhock (Balitmore), and Hilbert Potter (Louisville, KY); Five best friends Amy Davis, Jermaine Ennals, Dontray Ennels, Jermaine Young and Chauncy Jones. One special friend; Jamie Travers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
